Anyway, after the three hour wait to activate my iPhone with the 2.0 software update, it has been nothing but sheer joy playing with the apps. Granted, there are some things still wanting, like cut and paste and an NES emulator. I can tell you, though, that having 2.0 on my iPhone makes it feel like new.
My favorite app is Pandora where you can discover new music based on music you already love. It's part of the Music Genome Project which tags the "DNA" of just about every song out there. I was impressed by the Pandora engine and equally excited to find new music that I've never heard of. Check it out at www.pandora.com.
I'm still unsure whether or not I need the GPS and 3G in the new iPhone, but after dropping my iPhone for the first time the other day and getting a little (but much of an eyesore) dent in the aluminum casing, the idea of a new iPhone is starting to grow on me. Yeah, I could get a case for my present iPhone. There's just no case out there that I've seen that doesn't make it bulky.
